The MCU's Peggy Carter, Hayley Atwell, Throws Her Hat in the Ring to Direct a Marvel Movie

Last month at the Wales Comic Con, Hayley Atwell (Agent Carter, Captain America, and Avengers movies) appeared in a panel interview with Charlie Cox (Daredevil), where they spoke about the signature characters they got to play in the Marvel universe. They were asked lots of fun questions from the fans, like what they loved about playing Peggy Carter and Matt Murdock, as well as who they’d like to play if they could choose another super her character.

Charlie Cox joked that he’d like to play Peggy Carter, and Hayley Atwell said she’d be more interested in directing a Marvel film in the next phase. She also mentioned that she’s not that familiar with the comic book universe, so it would be hard for her to choose a character that would suit her, but she would be excited to direct. At this point, anything is possible in the next phase of the MCU, so Atwell may very well get her chance!
