The Mesmerizing Beauty of Fire Breathing in Bullet Time

Videos by Joey Paur

It's always fun watching people breathe fire, but have you ever seen it done in bullet time?! It's a completely different experience. Mitch Martinez filmed Mike Icon and Terry Lee Fields breathing giant fireballs in slow motion using a 48 DSLR bullet time camera array, RED Epic (120 fps), and GH4 (96 fps). There is no CG used here. The awesome beauty of fire breathing was all captured in camera. The video is called "Inferno," and I hope you enjoy it.

48 DSLR camera array + RED Epic (120fps) and GH4 (96fps). No CGI Animation or VFX. All imagery in this video was created in-camera.
