The Movie CATS Originally Included Cat Buttholes and Now People Want to See the "Butthole Cut" of the Film

If you thought the version of Cats that was released in theaters was strange, things could have been a lot weirder! The original cut of the film featured the cat characters with buttholes before they were digitally removed.

The news comes from Howard The Duck writer Jack Waz, who explained in a tweet:

A VFX producer friend of a friend was hired in November to finish some of the 400 effects shots in @catsmovie. His entire job was to remove CGI buttholes that had been inserted a few months before. Which means that, somewhere out there, there exists a butthole cut of Cats

Now, there are a bunch of people out there that, for some reason, want to watch this “Butthole Cut” of the film. Seeing buttholes on these already strange-looking cat characters certainly would have taken things to a whole other level of WTF, but it’s also something that I never need to see, so I’m good. I’ll be fine living out the rest of my life know I didn’t have to see that.
