THE MUMMY International Box Office Sales Could Save The Dark Universe

If you haven't heard yet, The Mummy had a bad weekend at the box office. $35 million dollars domestic is not the way you want to open a film with a reported budget of $200 million, but the international box office could be the film's saving grace. Bloody Disgusting tells us the international crowd is coming in big and boosting the worldwide sales to a total of $175 million, but that the film will need a total gross haul of $750 million to turn a profit.

This isn't the first time we've seen international audiences save a film as there would be no talk of Warcraft 2 if the film hadn't performed so astonishingly everywhere else but here. Is it possible Universal's saving grace will come in the form of a worldwide audience? Let's hope so.
