THE MUMMY Star Sofia Boutella Joins Michael B. Jordan in FAHRENHEIT 451
Sofia Boutella is a rising star in Hollywood. She made a big splash in Kingsman: The Secret Service, then went on to take on a lead role in Star Trek: Beyond. On top of The Mummy, she also co-stars in Atomic Blonde. She's proved to be a solid actress that makes fun films and now she's set to star in HBO Films' upcoming feature film adaptation of Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451.
Boutella will join the previously cast Michael B. Jordan and Michael Shannon. The story is set in "a futuristic America where books are outlawed and those that are discovered are burned by 'firemen.' Jordan will play Montag, a young fireman who forsakes his world, battles his mentor and struggles to regain his humanity. Shannon will portray Beatty, Montag's captain and mentor."
According to THR, the actress will take on the role of Clarisse, "an informant caught between the competing interests of Montag and Beatty." Boutella will make a great addition to the cast.
The film was co-written by Ramin Bahrani and Amir Naderi (99 Homes) and Bahrani is also set to direct.
