The New GHOSTBUSTERS Get Some Slick Character Posters
Following yesterday's official photo, a batch of new character posters for Paul Feig's Ghostbusters have been released that show off each of the four main characters: Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones. I love the color scheme of these — they really pop off the screen.
After Feig's most recent film, Spy, surprised me with how great it was, I have high hopes that he'll be able to capture the essence of the original movies with this sequel. I already know that I'd prefer whatever Feig does here than seeing the original cast trotted back out for another sequel...I think seeing those guys suited back up again might just be kind of sad at this point, and there's no way they'd be able to perfectly recreate the magic of the original after all of these years. I'm glad Feig is doing something new with the property, and I'm hopeful that it'll win fans over who are still on the fence about this whole idea.
Ghostbusters hits theaters on July 15th, 2016.
