The New HALLOWEEN Trailer Had A Pretty Big Nod To HALLOWEEN 2 Character

The new Halloween trailer has come and gone, and while some were disappointed with the amount of footage the film showed, others were excited to see what looked to be the return of a classic Halloween 2 character! Obviously, I'm about to get into spoilers here, so if you don't want to be spoiled, quit reading.

Ok, so remember that older woman wearing the pink robe in the trailer? Despite the fact that this film ignores the events of the sequels, this woman is dressed exactly like Mrs. Elrod from Halloween 2!  Mrs. Elrod was making a sandwich for her husband in the second film, and manages to escape Michael's murder spree at the cost of their knife (via Bloody Disgusting). 

Is this supposed to be the same Mrs. Elrod? Probably not, but it's a cool little easter egg! Watch the trailer again to spot the reference, and let us know if you're excited to see the film October 19.
