The New MORTAL KOMBAT Movie Will Be Rated R and Include Fatalities
Get over here! We’ve got some exciting new details to share with you regarding the James Wan-produced Mortal Kombat film thanks to screenwriter Greg Russo. I think Mortal Kombat fans will be very happy with what he’s shared.
Russo revealed on Twitter that the movie would be rated R and confirmed that it will include fatalities on the big screen for the first time ever! However, he didn’t reveal which fatalities we’ll see. Here’s the tweet that was shared:
Since it's already been stated by other members of the team, I'm gonna put this one to bed. MK WILL be R-Rated and for the first time EVER, FATALITIES will FINALLY be on the big screen (and no I'm not gonna say which ones) You'll just have to wait for the movie & see!!! ;) pic.twitter.com/aVTewH4t28

He may not have revealed which fatalities we’ll see, but I’m sure one of them will include a spine ripped out of someone’s body. I imagine some of the more legendary and popular fatalities will find their way into the movie.
It’s also great the movie is going to be rated R. That’s a first for the franchise as well, which is sure to make fans happy. The movie is headed in the right direction! It has a solid writer, a great producer, and now all it needs is the right director with a twisted and insane imagination to bring it to life!
The Raid actor and martial artist Joe Taslim was recently cast in the role of Sub-Zero, which a lot of fans seemed happy with. It’ll be interesting to see how the rest of the ensemble cast comes together.
What fatalities would want to see included in the movie?
