The New Razer Blade 15 Studio Edition Sounds Great But Is Too Dang Pricey
We recently got a look at some of Razer’s new products, and now we have yet another. The new Razer Blade 15 Studio Edition is a laptop that I don’t think anyone will actually need. Inside, users will find an 8-core Intel Core i7-10875H that can reach up to 5.1GHz, the NVIDIA Quadro RTX 5000 GPU, and 32GB of RAM with no mention of storage in the press release or on the website. You’ll also get a 4K OLED screen. All of this will set you back $4299.99!
While this all sounds great (and it looks great, too), the price has me scratching my head and really wondering who this is for. Professionals typically have offices they work from, and for the same price, they can obtain much stronger desktop machines. I understand you’re paying for the convenience of portability, but I’m pretty sure most would get a decent laptop for about $1-2k which could handle some of the less intense work to go with a powerhouse desktop. Am I wrong?
