The New Trailer for CATS Is Even More Bonkers Than the First One
Universal Pictures has released a new trailer for their feature film adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s hit Broadway musical Cats. The trailer is packed full of new footage and is even crazier than the first trailer that was released. This looks like such a weird movie! I’m really curious to see how this thing ends up doing at the box office.
Cats was adapted for the big screen by Tom Hooper (The King’s Speech, Les Misérables) and the film managed to attract an incredibly talented ensemble cast that includes James Corden, Judi Dench, Jason Derulo, Idris Elba, Jennifer Hudson, Ian McKellen, Taylor Swift, and Rebel Wilson, and introduces Royal Ballet principal dancer Francesca Hayward in her feature film debut.
The film tells the story of a tribe of cats called the Jellicles and the night they make what is known as "the Jellicle choice" and decide which cat will ascend to the Heaviside Layer and come back to a new life. The plot is pretty freakin’ bonkers.
