The Next Film From the Director of MIDSOMMAR Will Be a Four-Hour 'Nightmare Comedy'
If you’re enjoyed the crazy-ass horror films Hereditary and Midsommar, you’ll be interested to know that the director of those films, Ari Aster, is developing a new film. It’s going to be a four-hour-long movie described as a “nightmare comedy.”
Aster talked about the film in an interview with the Associated Students Program Board at UC Santa Barbara, and after describing it as a “nightmare comedy” he said, “All I know is that it’s gonna be four hours long …” He also said that it will be an “apocalyptic break-up movie.”
While that sounds like it could be interesting and fun, knowing the kinds of jacked-up films that Atser makes this will end up being an insane nightmarish journey that will mess with our heads and destroy our souls. But, in a funny way?
Aster is a talented filmmaker who has created a couple of fantastic, demented, and unique horror movies that that really screw with the audience's psyche. I can’t wait to see what he’s got in store for this next film of his!
