The Next JOHN WICK Film is Titled JOHN WICK 4: HAGAKURE
The title for the fourth John Wick movie has been revealed thanks to the wrap gifts that were handed out to the crew of the production. The title of the film is John Wick 4: Hagakure.
So, what does that mean? Well, Hagakure is a practical and spiritual guide for a warrior. It is a collection of thoughts and teachings on the way of the samurai compiled in an old Japanese text from Yamamoto Tsunetomo.
We don’t have any details on the story, but one thing we do know is that John Wick will continue to fight for his life, and against all odds, I know that he’s going to come out on top. When previously talking about the crazy action sequences in the film, Keanu Reeves shared:
“They’re fun. They’re intense. We’re going for it. There’s some really amazing John Wick action and new characters and it’s been really fun to be playing the role again and to be telling this story. You know, there’s new characters and we’re opening up the world. Right now we’re just shooting this crazy fight scene in the middle of traffic. So there’s car crashes, gun fights.”
Chad Stahelski is directing the film, which was written by Shay Hatten and Michael Finch. The film also stars Donnie Yen, Hiroyuki Sanada, Rina Sawayama, Shamier Anderson, Lance Reddick, and Ian McShane.
John Wick: Chapter 4 is currently set to hit theaters on May 27, 2022.
