The Next Russo Bros. Film Project THE ELECTRIC STATE with Millie Bobby Brown Lands at Netflix
Joe and Anthony Russo (Avengers: Endgame, Avengers: Infinity War) have been developing their next film project, The Electric State, with Millie Bobby Brown set to star. Chris Pratt is also in talks to star in the film, but that deal hasn’t closed yet.
This film project, which was written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War), has officially landed at Netflix. That’s not surprising as Netflix also produced the Russo Bros. upcoming movie The Gray Man.
The film is based on an adaptation of the illustrated novel by Simon Stålenhag and is set in a retro-futuristic past, “where an orphaned teenager (Brown) traverses the American West with a sweet but mysterious robot and an eccentric drifter in search of her younger brother.”
That sounds like a cool story, and it’s one that the Russos are sure to do a great job bringing to life. The film is looking at a fall start date, and due to the scope of the film, the budget will be around $200 million.
