The Nolan Bros. Aren't Involved in DC's Cineverse, So What Are They Up To?

In good/bad news for geeks everywhere, the Nolans — director Christopher and writer Jonathan — will have no role in Warner Bros’ upcoming slate of DC films. Christopher Nolan helped to shepherd Man of Steel, and his brother Jonathan Nolan wrote The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises, but they’ve moved on to other projects and have no planned involvement in the planned DC cineverse. Jonathan Nolan told Coming Soon,

"I love those guys and my brother was involved in 'Man of Steel' with Zack [Snyder] and David [Goyer]. I kind of feel like that chapter for us is closed."

Things could always change, though.

"To be continued somewhere farther down the line? Maybe."

That’s fine. The Dark Knight Trilogy was great, but even with Christopher Nolan’s involvement Man of Steel wasn’t anything much. And Interstellar looks so fantastic I would rather the brothers work on their own stuff anyway. So what will they being with their time? Let’s speculate wildly!

According to JediNews.com, Eric Davies of Movies.com heard Jonathan Nolan say that both brothers are huge fans of Star Wars, which obviously means they are going to direct some Star Wars spin-off films, right? Maybe, maybe not, but it’s fun to imagine what their version of the Star Wars universe would look like.
