The Official Run Time For STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER Has Been Revealed

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker arrives in theaters in less than a month and fans are excited to see how J.J. Abrams will close out the Skywalker saga. It was previously rumored that the film would have a run time of 155 minutes. Well, now that the film is completely finished, Abrams announced on EWLive on SiriusXM that the film now clocks in at “two hours and 21 minutes” or 141 minutes.

So, it’s a little bit shorter than what we were anticipating, but not much. I don’t really care how long the film is as long as it tells a great story and gives us a satisfying ending to the saga. There are a lot of fans out there that doubt Abrams will be able to pull it off, but I hope he blows away our expectations. We’ll just have to be patient and wait until the movie is released to see if Abrams delivers.

This runtime means that Rian Johnson’s The Last Jedi holds the record for longest Star Wars film with its 152-minute runtime.
