The Official Subtitle for THE LEGO MOVIE 2 Has Been Revealed

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw The LEGO Movie. It became my favorite movie for a while and is still a fantastic movie for the whole family. Then, I found out they were making a sequel and I was like, “WHAAAAAT!?”

I’m equal parts excited and terrified. Terrified, because the first one was a good movie that could stand alone. Of course, studios seem to only be interested in franchises these days, so there’s no surprise. I was excited, though, because this meant I could see my favorite LEGO characters again.

The official Twitter account for the film sent out our first look at the logo for the sequel and the subtitle. The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part.

We don’t know what the story is, but we did find out a couple months ago that Tiffany Haddish will be joining the original cast of Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Channing Tatum, and Jonah Hill. Mike Mitchell is directing the film based on a script by Raphael Bob-Waksberg and Phil Lord and Christopher Miller from the first movie will serve as producers on the sequel alongside Dan Lin and Roy Lee.

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part will be in theaters February 8, 2019.
