THE OLD WOMAN WITH THE KNIFE Trailer Teases a Sharp, Stylish Korean Action Thriller

Well Go USA has dropped a trailer for the Korean action thriller The Old Woman with the Knife, and it looks like it could be a pretty awesome film.

Directed by Min Kyu-dong, this gritty and stylish story follows a seasoned assassin who’s spent decades cleaning up society’s filth, and now finds herself at a crossroads.

Lee Hye-yeong stars as Hornclaw, a legendary killer in her 60s who has spent over forty years in the shadows, specializing in “disease control,” her chilling term for taking out “human vermin.”

But time catches up to everyone. When a young and reckless rookie named Bullfight enters her life, the sharp edges of her world begin to blur.

In the film, “Aging assassin ‘Hornclaw’ (starring Lee Hye-yeong) has seen it all, but she never expected to mentor a reckless rookie like Bullfight. As their unlikely bond deepens, cracks form in the underworld they navigate together.

“When Hornclaw discovers someone wants her dead, she’s thrust into a deadly game of deception. With enemies closing in and trust in short supply, survival means staying sharp—both blade and mind.”

The Old Woman with the Knife also stars Kim Sung-cheol and Kim Mu-yeol, and the film is headed to VOD on November 25th/

If you’re into dark, character-driven action stories packed with emotional tension and sharp fight choreography, The Old Woman with the Knife deserves a spot on your watchlist.
