The Opening for SHANTAE AND THE SEVEN SIRENS Will Play Before PROMARE in Theaters

Promare is the first theatrical film from Studio TRIGGER and thanks to Fathom Events, anime fans in the United States will be able to watch it on two nights. If you prefer your anime dubbed, you’ll want to catch the showing on September 17 at 7 PM local time. If you would rather read subtitles, then the September 19 showing at 7 PM local time is what you’ll want.

Thirty years has passed since the appearance of the Burnish, a race of flame-wielding mutant beings, who destroyed half of the world with fire. When a new group of aggressive mutants calling themselves Mad Burnish appears, the epic battle between Galo Thymos, a new member of the anti-Burnish rescue team Burning Rescue, and Lio Fotia, the leader of Mad Burnish begins.

In addition to catching Promare, attendees will be able to catch the opening animation for Shantae and the Seven Sirens before the movie. Seven Sirens is the fifth Shantae game from WayForward and fans are really excited for its launch sometime this year. This partnership was probably no big deal as Studio TRIGGER’s Naoko Tsutsumi is producing the opening animation. Also, Studio TRIGGER made the opening, so there’s that too.

Promare is directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi and I’ve included its trailer and the opening for Shantae and the Seven Sirens below. You can go to the GKIDS website to purchase tickets for your nearest showing of Promare.
