The Original SPAWN Movie Arrives on 4K in Trailer For Arrow Video’s New Restoration

Back in 1997, Spawn hit theaters and critics weren’t exactly kind to it. The movie barely made a dent at the box office, but despite all that, the fanbase never let go.

For almost three decades, the film has lived on through cult status, and now those fans are getting something pretty special. Thanks to Arrow Video, Spawn is finally arriving in 4K, fully restored and looking better than ever.

You can watch the trailer for the the 4K version of the film below, and it shows off just how good this new edition looks. Arrow is rolling out both Limited Edition 4K UHD and Blu-ray versions in the U.S. on October 7th.

This release also includes both the Director’s Cut and Theatrical Cut, restored straight from the original camera negatives. It actually might be worth checking out again.

Arrow Video has built a strong reputation with genre fans for taking cult favorites seriously, and this latest release only adds to that goodwill.

Of course, a true collector’s edition wouldn’t be complete without bonus content. Arrow has packed the set with a massive list of special features, many of them brand new. One standout is a fresh interview with Michael Jai White, who brought Spawn to life on screen.

Here’s the full list of what’s included:

  • Brand new audio commentary with comic book expert and podcast host Dave Baxter

  • Audio commentary with Todd McFarlane, Mark A.Z. Dippé, Clint Goldman, and Steve Williams (1998)

  • Hell’s Perfect Son, a brand new interview with actor Michael Jai White
