The Original TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES Cartoon is Now Streaming on Pluto!
For those of you who are interested in revisiting the classic 80s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoons or introducing it to your kids for the first time, the entire series is now available to watch for free on the streaming service Pluto.
While the TMNT comics were awesome, it’s this cartoon series that launched the franchise into its popularity. Over the years, Ninja Turtles Michaelangelo, Leonardo, Donatello, and Raphael have gotten several animated incarnations, but that original one was the best!
The series ran for ten seasons and there are nearly two hundred episodes, all of which you can watch on Pluto TV's live channel focusing on the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series. While the episodes aren't available to stream "on demand", you can jump on in and re-live the earliest animated adventures for the Ninja Turtles! The series will eventually land on Paramount+.
In the series, after being exposed to a mysterious alien substance known as the "Ooze", they transform into humanoid creatures and learn impressive martial arts skills. Guided by their rat sensei, Splinter, who was also affected by the Ooze and transformed from a human into a rat, the turtles spend their days training in ninjitsu, eating pizza, and protecting the city from various threats, notably the evil Shredder and his Foot Clan.
The series was a hit among kids and adults alike and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles became a major part of 1980s and 1990s pop culture.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem comes out in theaters this week, and it’s a movie you’ve got to check out!
