The Original Writers From Eddie Murphy's COMING TO AMERICA are Writing the Sequel

It's been awhile since Eddie Murphy's Coming to America has been relevant. It's still a great movie, it's just not something people talk about these days, so it's surprising they are actually making a sequel. Have people been asking for this? Has this been something the world has been demanding, and I just never noticed?

Well, Paramount thinks it's necessary so the sequel is planned and is going into development. According to Tracking Board, the studio has hired the original writers of Coming To America, Barry Blaustein and David Sheffield, to come back and write the sequel. I think it's a smart move to bring back the original writers. If anyone can make this sequel work properly, it's the people who made it work the first film.

A perfect example of this is Mad Max Fury Road. I just hope the writers have a good story to tell for the sequel. If they have a solid story I'll be all for it. Plus, now a whole new generation of kids will be introduced to Arsenio Hall!
