The PEACEMAKER Finale Originally Included Batman and Cyborg Cameos and Behind the Scenes Photos

If you haven’t seen the season finale of Peacemaker yet, you might want to skip this because it contains spoilers for the end of the season. You’ve been warned.

During the season finale of Peacemaker, Justice League characters Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, and Aquaman made a cameo appearance. It was a pretty amusing scene as they showed up late to the party, and Peacemaker was pissed.

Well, it turns out that there were two other Justice League members that were originally supposed to show up! Ben Affleck's version of Batman and Ray Fisher’s version of Cyborg were originally part of the ensemble.

Those actors would not have reprised their roles. The news of the character’s involvement came from actor Matt Turner who was going to be wearing Ben Affleck’s Batman suit. He shared a photo of himself on social media wearing the suit and shared the following information:

"After that epic #peacemaker finale I can finally post this. Sadly I(& Cyborg) were cut from the final edit. Why? Only @jamesgunn& @warnerbrosentertainment know that. While it's disappointing to be scrubbed out, this was still a blast, and a dream come true to wear the suit!!! Big thanks to everyone involved!!"

I assume that the reason the characters were included is because we will never see Ben Affleck’s version of Batman again because the actor is done with the character. As for Cyborg, I don’t think we’ll ever see that character again either as Ray Fisher and Warner Bros. are at odds with each other. WB is moving on from that, while Fisher continues to fight for his cause.

Last week, director James Gunn talked about the choice to have just Wonder Woman, The Flash, Superman, and Aquaman present, saying, "I don't know what I can – there are reasons for it, but I'm actually uncertain whether I can say what those reasons are. It might have to do with future stuff."

He even went so far as to say, "I really thought it was going to be just Jason. And Ezra was more like the extra thing because I found that he was interested in doing it."

Why do you think Batman and Cyborg didn’t show up at the end of the Peacemaker finale? I also included an image of the stand-in for Superman in full costume. He looks good in the role!
