The Phoenix Will Rise in New Trailer for the Sci-Fi Alien Invasion Thriller CAPTIVE STATE
We’ve got a new trailer to share with you today for director Rupert Wyatt’s (Rise of the Planet of the Apes) new alien invasion sci-fi thriller, Captive State.
The story is set in a Chicago neighborhood "nearly a decade after an occupation by an extra-terrestrial force, Captive State explores the lives on both sides of the conflict – the collaborators and dissidents".
As you’ll see in the trailer there is a lot of dark deception going on and there’s a group of rebels who are going to rise up agains the aliens and their followers and fight back. I’m just curious to see if the aliens end up busting out the cook book “To Serve Man”.
The movie has a great cast that includes John Goodman, Ashton Sanders (Moonlight), Jonathan Majors (When We Rise) and Vera Farmiga (The Conjuring).
This actually looks like it could be a solid sci-fi movie, and I’m looking forward to checking it out.
Focus Features will release the film in theaters on March 29th, 2019.
