The POKEMON TCG is Replacing Its Digital Platform

The Pokémon Company recently announced that they’re changing the way that fans can play a digital version of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Pokémon TCG Online is going to be put to rest to make way for Pokémon TCG Live. This is a new way for fans to play the popular trading card game that will be available on PC, Mac, iOS, and Android devices. This means that you’ll be able to play it on your phone! This is actually very exciting for anyone wanting to try out the game or simply wants to play online. Pokémon TCG Live will offer tools for new players, veterans, daily quests, customizable avatars, accessories, and more. Talking about the Pokémon TCG and this new option, Barry Sams said:

As we look back on 25 wonderful years of Pokémon, we are once again reminded of how the Pokémon Trading Card Game has always been a strong pillar of the franchise and beloved by young and veteran Trainers alike. Pokémon TCG Live will go hand in hand with the tabletop version that fans know and love, and welcomes a new era of digital play where Trainers around the world can play together regardless of their preferred platform.

We don’t have an exact release date yet, but the free-to-play game will be having a mobile soft launch in Canada and a global open beta for PC and Mac later this year.
