The Preview for MIGHTY MORPHIN #14 is Bonkers

We have our preview for Mighty Morphin #14, and it is looking insane. First, the cover art hints at a few very exciting things. We see Zordon in a Braniac-like suit which could either just be cool art or a hint of what to expect, we’ll have to wait for the full release to know. Then, in Keyla Valerio’s alternate cover we see Scorpina which is interesting because I don’t think she’s made an appearance in the comic outside of the World of the Coinless. This would definitely be an interesting development. In the actual pages, we see a memory of Zordon being told the poison from the assassin is still in him and will kill him in approximately 5 years. However, Billy then shows up and it turns out that this is just a dream type thing and Billy is there with the Blue Emissary to bring him back, potentially to a suit like on the cover. Now let’s rewind for a second. Yes, the Blue Emissary is here. What!? How!? Am I crazy? Kiya killed him allowing an Empyreal to be revived, right? I don’t think this is part of Zordon’s dream/memory because Zordon doesn’t know who he is at the moment and the Blue Emissary talks about finding Zordon. Color me confused. We then see Jason and Kim having a conversation with Kim wanting to go back and help their loved ones but Jason saying they need to wait. We don’t see how exactly it ends, but it’s very tense.

With the destruction of Zordon’s tube, the Mighty Morphin team seeks new allies to help them in the Eltarian War. But with Lord Zedd at their back and the Eltarian Supreme Leader gathering his forces to launch a massive attack on the Earth, can the Rangers survive being surrounded on all sides?

Mighty Morphin is written by Ryan Parrott with art by Marco Renna, colors by Walter Baiamonte with color assistance by Katia Ranalli, and letters by Ed Dukeshire. The main cover is by InHyuk Lee and alternates are available by Eleonora Carlini, Rian Gonzales, and Valerio. Fans can read Mighty Morphin #14 on December 8 with physical copies through your local comic shop and digital copies through comiXology (affiliate link), Google Play, iBooks, and Kindle.
