The Producers of STRANGER THINGS To Adapt I AM NOT OKAY WITH THIS For Netflix
Jonathan Entwistle was the creator and director of The End of the F***ing World series for Netflix, and he has a new project for the streaming giant. Entwistle has teamed up with the producers of Stranger Things, and together they will adapt the Charles Forsman graphic novel, I Am Not Okay With This. The adaptation will have eight installments, which I’m guessing means episodes.
“In the novel, the main character, a regular suburban 15-year-old freshman called Sydney, has telekinetic powers that kick in at inopportune moments. She is also secretly in love with her best friend, Dina.
Like the novel, [the series] will follow a teenage girl navigating the trials and tribulations of high school, dealing with the complexities of her family, her budding sexuality and her mysterious emerging superpowers.”
I Am Not Okay With This will be directed by Entwistle and written by Christy Hall. Hall will also executive produce alongside Josh Barry, Dan Cohen, Dan Levine, and Shawn Levy of 21 Laps. Sounds like it could be a fun young adult show to watch.
