THE RAID Director Gareth Evans in Talks To Helm DEATHSTROKE with Joe Manganiello

We've got some big news for another DC Film coming from Warner Bros. According to The Wrap, Deathstroke is getting his own solo film and they are in talks with Gareth Evans to write and direct the film! Evans is the same director that brought us The Raid films, which are two of the most badass action movies ever made! So, the fact that he might end up directing Deathstroke is pretty damn awesome!

Also, in case you were wondering, Joe Manganiello (True Blood) is attached to star in the film. He was originally cast in the role when Ben Affleck was developing the solo Batman film. After Matt Reeves took over and said he was going to start over from scratch, fans weren't sure where that would leave Deathstroke. Well, now we know, and knowing is half the battle. However, we still don't know if he will show up in The Batman or not.

Deathstroke is a great character and with Evans at the helm, we might end up seeing one hell of a badass and hardcore DC film! The character was created by Marv Wolfman and George Perez and he's a mercenary and assassin who was genetically engineered to surpass all human limits, once a soldier, Slade Wilson now works as one of the most feared assassins in the DC Universe. He made his first appearance in The New Teen Titans #2 back in 1980.

Evans' next film is a period thriller called Apostle, which is about a mysterious man who travels to a remote island and attempts to rescue his sister after she’s kidnapped by a religious cult.

What do you think about Evans possibly coming on board to direct DC's Deathstroke solo film?
