The Real Life of a Popular Cartoon Rabbit Character Is Dark and Depressing in This Animated Short AFTERWORK

I’ve got kind of a dark and depressing animated short film for you to watch today titled Afterwork. The short centers around a character named Groompy, a rabbit playing the lead in a popular cartoon series. His real life isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, and this short shows us what life is like for him when he’s done with work.

The synopsis explains that his life is “dull and monotonous” and “one night the object he so much desires appears in front of him... the carrot from the cartoons.”

The short film was created by Luis Usón and co-directed by Andrés Aguilar. The short is actually pretty sad. It’s definitely not uplifting! But it’s a well-made, interesting film to watch.
