The Recent Update for WITCHER 3 on Switch Looks Awesome

The Witcher 3 was released on Switch not too long ago and now a new update (Update 3.6) has greatly improved the game. In addition to some new graphics options and performance optimizations, fans will be excited to learn that the game now supports save file integration with PC copies on Steam and GOG. As Destructoid points out though, any bugs from mods on the PC side could transfer over to the Switch and you’ll want to not change the save file name or it won’t be able to transfer to the Switch.

So, are the graphics options and performance optimizations worth it? Well, I’ll let you make that call based on the image below. Personally, I see a world of difference between the old and new images and I love it!

Finally, Update 3.6 also integrated touch controls for the game. I know many probably won’t use them, but I think others are going to love using them, especially for Gwent. Here’s the full list of changes in the update:

  • Added touch control support.

  • Added save file integration with GOG, Steam, and versions of the game for Switch from different regions.

  • Added more text languages (in selected regions).

  • Added more graphical options.

  • Added multiple performance optimizations.

  • Fixed various visual and functional bugs.

  • Various gameplay and crash fixes.
