The Release Date for MORTAL KOMBAT Has Been Pushed Back
Warner Bros. has pushed the release date of the highly-anticipated adaptation of Mortal Kombat. It’s only been delayed a week and has moved from April 16th to April 23rd. The movie will be released simultaneously on HBO Max and in theaters.
In the film, “MMA fighter Cole Young (Lewis Tan) is unaware of his heritage - or why Outworld’s Emperor seeks to hunt him down. Cole finds sanctuary under Lord Raiden (Tadanobu Asano) and prepares to stand with Earth’s greatest champions against the enemies of Outworld in a high-stakes battle for the universe. Will Cole be able to unleash his arcana in time to stop the Outworld once and for all?”
The movie also stars Joe Taslim as Sub-Zero, Josh Lawson as Kano, Sisi Stringer as Mileena, Max Huang as Kung Lao, Chin Han as Shang Tsung, Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade, Ludi Lin as Liu Kang, Mehcad Brooks as Jax Briggs, and Hiroyuki Sanada as Scorpion.
The film comes to us from producer James Wan and director Simon McQuoid. Luckily the release of the film was only pushed back a week. I can wait another week.
