The Remake of Stephen King's PET SEMATARY Moves Forward With The Directors of STARRY EYES

Paramount Pictures is moving forward with their remake of Stephen King's Pet Semetary. The studio has hired the directors behind the fantasy horror film Starry Eyes, Kevin Kolsch and Dennis Widmyer, to helm the film. Starry Eyes was actually a pretty good horror film, but are the directors the right fit for Pet Semetary? I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

The original film scared the living shit out of me when I was a kid. It's one of my favorite horror films, and I'd say it's one of the scariest movies I've ever seen. The movie gave me nightmares for months! To this day when I look into the dark corner of my bedroom before I fall asleep, I can't help but think of Zelda walking out of the shadows toward me saying, "I'll twist your back like mine so you'll never get out of bed again!" That movie messed me up!

Anyway, it's gonna be hard to outdo what's already been done. That original film is a perfect horror movie in my eyes, and I doubt this remake will be better than what's already been done. As a fan of the book and the original film, I do hope that they can actually give us fans a solid and scary-ass movie that we'll enjoy!
