The Return of That Classic HALLOWEEN Character in HALLOWEEN KILLS Was Pulled Off With No CGI
If you haven’t seen Halloween Kills yet, and you don’t know about the surprise return of an original character then you might want to skip this post until you watch it. If you have seen it, though, or you just don’t care, by all means… read on!
The film featured some flashback scenes involving events that happened in 1978 during the original Halloween movie. It offered a back story on how Michael Myers ended up being caught, and it saw the return of Dr. Loomis! The character was originally played by Donald Pleasence, but he passed away back in 1995.
The thing is Dr. Loomis in Halloween Kills looked exactly like him, and I just assumed they used CGI to bring him back. But, it turns out, that’s not the case at all! No CGI was used to bring back the character! He was brought back all thanks to some amazing prosthetics and makeup. Check it out!
The above image shows how Dr. Loomis was miraculously “revived” for Halloween Kills. The part was played by the film’s art director, Tom Jones, Jr., who has some resemblance to Loomis. His appearance was altered perfectly, and I can’t help but be impressed by the work that was done to bring Loomis back for the movie.
