The Screenwriters of THE MEG Are Developing a MIGHTY MOUSE Movie

I’m sure you all remember that ridiculously entertaining movie The Meg, which featured Jason Statham facing off with a giant shark. Well, the screenwriters behind that movie, Jon and Erich Hoeber have been set to script a film adaptation of Mighty Mouse for Paramount Animation.

The movie is said to be a live action and animated hybrid movie. This film has been in and out of development at the studio for several years. Well, it’s finally gaining some traction!

Mighty Mouse is a vintage cartoon about a crime-fighting super mouse that was a Saturday morning cartoon from the 1950's to the 1980's. I used to watch reruns of this show all the time as a kid. I have a lot of fond memories watching it and I would love for this film adaptation to be good.

I have no idea what to expect, I just want it to be better than what we’ve been seeing from that Sonic The Hedgehog movie that’s being made. I’ve never really been a fan of the live-action animated hybrid films. The only one that ever got it right was Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

With the Hoebers writing the script, I think there’s a chance that they will do something really cool and fun with this property. Not only have they written The Meg, but they also wrote the two Red action films, which were great.

So, let see what happens with this! Do you think a Mighty Mouse movie could end up being a great movie?
