THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS Anime is Getting a Stage Play in Japan

The Seven Deadly Sins (Nanatsu No Taizai for those who watch the sub) is a great anime. I was so sad when I finished the first season to learn season two wasn’t available. The second season is now airing in Japan and I’m hoping by the end of the year we can get the dub for it.

If you need more Seven Deadly Sins in your life though, have no fear. This August, a stage play by the name Nanatsu No Taizai The Stage, will premiere with shows planned for Osaka and Tokyo. If you’re in Japan during the latter half of the year, you may want to check this out.

This is not the first anime turned stage play either. I know there was a Bleach play and a Rurouni Kenshin play done before, so this one is in good company. Why don’t we make stage plays for our animated cartoons in America? Can you imagine a stage play of Avatar: The Last Airbender? I’m pretty sure it would just end up like what we see in “The Ember Island Players,” and I’m ok with that.

There's no information regarding what will happen in said play, but I would not be surprised if it was a loose adaptation of the first season.
