THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION Is Returning to Theaters for 3 Nights in September!

When Frank Darabont’s feature film adaptation of Stephen King’sThe Shawshank Redemption was released in theaters in 1994, it didn’t do very well at the box office. But it was nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars! Over the years the fanbase for the film has exploded, and it’s become a favorite of a lot of movie geeks.

This is one of those film that I can watch over and over again and never get tired of watching. In my opinion it’s a perfect film. I know a lot of people have never seen this movie on the big screen, and if you’re one of them, you’re going to get your chance!

Adding to the special big screen return, TCM Primetime Host Ben Mankiewicz will provide exclusive commentary before and after the feature.
