The SHAZAM! Panel Was The Most Entertaining Panel I Saw at Comic-Con and You Can Watch It Here
I loved the trailer that was released for Shazam! at Comic-Con. This movie looks like it's going to be a hell of a fun time! There was also a panel for the film at the convention and it was easily the most entertaining panel in Hall H that I saw.
The panel was moderated Aisha Tyler and Zachary Levi was joined by director David F. Sandberg, Asher Angel, and Jack Dylan Grazer. They were just having a great time up on stage talking about the movie. One thing that Levi said about playing the DC hero was:
"This is complete wish fulfillment. This is 14-year-old me that got to put on spandex and a cape and fly around and be a super hero. And the whole movie is about wish fulfillment. I get to do this in this incredible movie with this incredible cast and an incredible director and bring a character to life that is near and dear to a lot of people, myself included. We tried to make the best we could for you and I hope you guys dig it!"
I think fans are going to love it.
"We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong)."
Shazam! will land in theaters on April 5, 2019. Now, enjoy the panel!
