THE SIMPSONS Hilariously Predicts Big Movie Studios Scrapping Big-Budget Films For Tax Write Offs
It’s amazing and hilarious to see how many things that The Simpsons has predicted over the years. Well, another one was pointed out on Twitter that I’m sure you’ll all get a kick out of.
As you know, Warner Bros. Discovery has been scrapping all kinds of film projects like Batgirl, and it’s been explained that they are doing this for Tax write-off purposes. Well, in this clip from The Simpsons, an unnamed big movie studio does the exact same thing.
This clip comes from the 2015 "Treehouse of Horror XXVI" episode which shows a group of movie executives deciding that they need to scrap an entire, underperforming film "for insurance purposes".
As an added bonus, the same clip also predicted that the new Star Wars movies would “Stink to high heaven.”
