During The Simpsons virtual panel at Comic-Con@Home over the weekend, the creative team showed up to tease what’s in store for the upcoming 33rd season! Yep, there are 33 seasons of this comic show, and there are no signs that it will be ending anytime soon.

One of the big highlights of the presentation is when they shared a clip from this year’s “Treehouse of Horror XXXII” Halloween special! They shared one full segment from the episode, which features guest voice actor Maurice LaMarche as the legendary actor Vincent Price. The segment focuses on Price as he reads Maggie a tale of the Telltale Bart, which is obviously a riff on Edgar Allen Poe’s “The Tell-Tale Heart.”

This is one of five segments that the Halloween special will include. The “Treehouse of Horror” specials usually have three segments, but they are changing things up this year. “Treehouse of Horror XXXII” is set to air on October 10th.

It was also announced that the new season will premiere with a musical episode, which is the first time that The Simpsons has done something like that. The show has featured musical numbers before, but they’ve never had a full, all-out musical episode. It will be titled “The Star of the Backstage,” and it will debut this September.

The episode stars The Good Place’s Kristen Bell as Marge’s internal singing voice, and the story follows Marge as she decides to host a 20-year-reunion of her high school musical about...the Y2K bug.

You can check the clip out below along with the full panel if you want. The Panel includes Matt Selman, Al Jean, David Silverman, Carolyn Omine, Mike B. Anderson, Debbie Mahan, special guest Matt Groening, and the voice of Lisa Simpson, Yeardley Smith.
