The SONIC THE HEDGEHOG Trailer Gets a Fan-Made Makeover With a Cartoon-Style Sonic Design

After the trailer for the Sonic The Hedgehog movie was released, a lot of fans weren’t happy with the character design. We saw a lot of fan made art showing us what the fans would like to see in the film, but YouTube user Artur Baranov took things to a whole new level.

He created a CG animated version of the character that is more in line with the original cartoon look. He actually did a pretty good job! Sure, it’s not perfect and it could use a bit more detail, but it’s not bad! I think fans will prefer it over the other version, which is currently being fixed.

The movie follows “the (mis)adventures of Sonic as he navigates the complexities of life on Earth with his newfound – human – best friend Tom Wachowski (James Marsden). Sonic and Tom join forces to try and stop the villainous Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) from capturing Sonic and using his immense powers for world domination. The film also stars Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic.”

The movie will be released on February 14th, 2020.
