Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse introduced us to only a few of several other Spider-Man characters in the multiverse. It was a lot of fun meeting these characters and getting to know them in this movie.

One of the more popular characters with the kids and other die-hard fans was Spider-Ham, who was perfectly voiced by comedian John Mulaney. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Sony Pictures would want to make a Spider-Ham spinoff film.

Producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller previously expressed their interest in making a series of Spider-Man shorts, but I think a film could be just as fun. When asked about the possibility of a Spider-Ham spinoff film in an interview with Vanity Fair, producer Amy Pascal said:

"Of course! You can imagine how much the kids love that character."

Producer Avi Arad went on to add, "Yeah. We want piggy." So, it’s safe to assume that one day Spider-Ham will end up getting his very own story, which would no doubt be one awesomely wild and zany adventure.

As of right now, the producers of Into The Spider-Verse are proceeding with a sequel that will focus on the relationship of Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy and a spinoff film that will revolve around Spider-Gwen, Silk, and Spider-Woman.

Those projects were announced before the film was released. But now that Into The Spider-Verse is a big hit, you can bet that the producers and creative team are going to start developing a few more projects, like Spider-Ham! Lord previously said:

"Look, we wanted to make a movie that felt like it was the tip of the iceberg. You could imagine all of these other things. So it's music to our ears that people could imagine a Spider-Noir film, and the Spider-Ham insane cartoon."

What were your thoughts on Spider-Ham and would you like to see a spinoff film that focuses on the character? Are there any Spider-Ham stories that you’d like to see on the big screen?
