The Stars From THE FLASH Join Kevin Smith's Upcoming JAY AND SILENT BOB REBOOT Movie
Kevin Smith has enjoyed getting to know the cast of The Flash over the years by directing some of the episodes of the show. They all seem to have a great working relationship with each other and now the stars of The Flash are set to be a part of Smith's upcoming Jay and Silent Bob film project.
Smith made the announcement during his panel at San Diego Comic-Con and revealed Grant Gustin (Barry Allen/The Flash), Tom Cavanagh (Harrison Wells), and Carlos Valdes (Carlos Ramon/Vibe) will all be appearing in Jay and Silent Bob Reboot.
There's no word on who exactly they will be playing in the film, which reportedly begins filming this November. It's going to be interesting to see what kind of roles they play in the movie, but it's cool to see these actors working with Smith again outside of The Flash series.
Jay and Silent Bob Reboot will follow the two crazy characters on a new adventure, one that can't necessarily be classified as a traditional reboot. Smith previously explained:
"If you remember Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, it was a movie in which Jay and Silent Bob found out Hollywood was making a movie about them so they went cross country to Hollywood to stop that from happening. Jay and Silent Bob Reboot is completely fucking different. In Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, Jay and Silent Bob find out that Hollywood is making a reboot of that old movie that they had made about them, and they have to go cross the country to Hollywood to stop it all over again. it’s literally the same fucking movie all over again. It’s a movie that makes fun of sequels and remakes and reboots while being all three at the same time."
This sounds like it's going to be another wild movie from Smith! What do you think about some of the cast members of The Flash joining the film project?
