THE SUICIDE SQUAD Star Daniela Melchior Set to Star in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3
The Suicide Squad breakout star Daniela Melchior, who played Ratcatcher 2 in the film, is making the crossover from DC to Marvel in the upcoming threequel Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. James Gunn confirmed late last year that the actress won’t be appearing as character Moondragon, which had been speculated online, and now it’s been reported that she will appear in a small role.
Filming recently wrapped on the anticipated film, which will feature returning stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan, Elizabeth Debicki, Pom Klementieff, and Sean Gunn, as well as newcomers Sylvester Stallone and Will Poulter. Melchior is also making the DC jump with Chukwudi Iwuji, who appeared in the Suicide Squad spinoff series Peacemaker.
Gunn recently teased the involvement of an “unannounced actor” in the film, but it’s been confirmed that he wasn’t speaking about Melchior, or Keanu Reeves, as was being speculated online.
The story is still under wraps, but as filming has been completed, I assume we will hear a lot more soon. I’m looking at you, San Diego Comic-Con.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be released in theaters on May 5th, 2023.
