THE SUMMONING Trailer Turns a Creepy Schoolyard Legend Into a Supernatural Nightmare
Urban legends have always been prime horror movie material, and the upcoming creepypasta-inspired anthology The Summoning looks ready to tap into that late-night sleepover fear in a big way.
The newly released trailer leans hard into eerie atmosphere, supernatural chaos, and the kind of “why would you ever try that?” decision-making that fuels the best horror stories.
Also known as The Summoning of Baby Blue, the indie horror film centers on a babysitting job that spirals into something much darker after three teens decide to tempt fate by summoning the mysterious Baby Blue.
The official synopsis reads: “A babysitting gig becomes a nightmare of urban legend when three teens summon Baby Blue. Survival depends on uncovering the past to escape a mother’s wrath from beyond the grave.”
The trailer has all the ingredients horror fans love. Flickering lights, terrified teens, creepy mirrors, and the growing realization that somebody seriously messed up. It feels like the kind of supernatural story pulled straight from internet folklore.
The anthology brings together a group of filmmakers including Felipe Vargas (Rosario, Hive), Sergio Gonzalez, Brandon Piskorik, Corey Benson Powers, and Brian Sepanzyk.
The cast includes Valeria San Martín, Justina Ceballos, Daniela Flombaum, Nannu Spannauss, Agustín Olcese, and Giovanni Onetti.
The screenplay comes from Camilo Zaffora, while Nicolás Onetti, Michael Kraetzer, and Carlos Goitia serve as producers.
There’s been a wave of horror projects inspired by creepypasta culture over the last several years, but The Summoning looks like it’s aiming for something nastier and more atmospheric than your average internet-inspired scarefest.
The Baby Blue myth already carries that unsettling “don’t try this at home” energy, and the film seems ready to push it into full supernatural nightmare territory.
The Summoning arrives on VOD June 5 from Brainstorm Media. Summon your fate with the trailer below.
