SyFy Renews THE EXPANSE For Season 3
I was actually late to The Expanse party. I just finished watching the first season, and I'm totally loving the series! If you aren't watching it yet, you really need to be. Remember that feeling you had about Battlestar Galactica when you were watching it? That's exactly how I'm feeling about The Expanse right now. It's an awesome and intriguing sci-fi drama that you have to be watching!
The series is based on the book series by Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck that is collectively known as The Expanse. The story "unfolds across a colonized galaxy 200 years in the future, when two strangers become unwittingly swept up in a vast conspiracy."
As I'm on the verge of starting season two, SyFy has announced that they've renewed the series for a third season! There will be 13 new episodes that are set to premiere in 2018. Chris McCumber, president, entertainment networks for NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment said in a statement:
“The Expanse is a gorgeous, thrilling, emotional series that has quite simply raised the bar for science fiction on television. We, along with the fans, are looking forward to continuing the journey with our partners at Alcon Television Group and the series’ brilliant cast and crew.”
I'm looking forward to watching this story continue to unfold through a third season and the way this story has played out so far, I hope that it continues beyond a third season.
The series stars Thomas Jane, Steven Strait, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Dominique Tipper, Cas Anvar, Wes Chatham, and Frankie Adams. Seriously, if you aren't watching this series, it's a good time to start. It's currently available on Amazon Prime.
