The Thing: Infection at Outpost 31 is a hidden identity game that came about in 2017 through a partnership between publisher Mondo and The Op as Project Raygun. In it you follow the character from the classic 1982 movie, completing missions and trying to figure out who is secretly the alien life form.

If you missed your chance to add this game to your collection the first time around, you will be happy to hear that it is back for a limited time and is currently available for preorder for $59.99. Sadly, this game won’t make it to you by Halloween as it won’t release until November 10, but you shouldn’t let that stop you if you enjoy social deduction games.

Most of the original game has been preserved, but there are rules updates that will make it even more difficult to identify the alien life form. This game is for 4-8 players 17+ and takes approximately 45-90 minutes to play through.
