The Third PADDINGTON Film Is Titled PADDINGTON IN PERU and It Will Be Directed by Dougal Wilson
The third film in the charming Paddington franchise is moving forward with director Dougal Wilson, and the movie is officially titled Paddington in Peru. This will be Wilson’s first feature film; he’s mostly directed short films and music videos.
StudioCanal and Heyday Films produce the Paddington franchise, which is based on the books by Michael Bond. The original 2014 film Paddington saw the young Peruvian bear travel to London in search of a home. Finding himself lost and alone at Paddington Station, he met the kindly Brown family, who offered him a temporary haven. The 2017 sequel found Paddington happily settled with the Brown family and a popular member of the local community, following him as he picked up a series of odd jobs to buy the perfect present for his Aunt Lucy’s 100th birthday, only for the gift to be stolen.
Ben Whishaw voices Paddington, but there are no details on who will join him in the film. We also don’t have any plot details to share, but the script is being written by Mark Burton, Jon Foster, and James Lamont.
The previous director Paul King didn’t return because he’s been busy directing Timothée Chalamet in WB’s upcoming film Wonka. However, he is an executive producer on the film.
The Paddington movies are great! I hope the quality of this third movie is on par with the previous films that have been made.
