The Town of Salem is Out For Blood in This Red-Band Trailer For ASSASSINATION NATION
We've got another red-band trailer for you to watch for the upcoming wickedly insane film Assassination Nation. This was one of my favorite films at Sundance because it didn't pull any punches. This was a brutal film and it offers some dark and disturbing commentary on our society in the most insane ways.
The film is set in the small town of Salem, reminiscent of where 20 witches were hung because of nothing more than rumors about them being witches. In fact, imagine how much crazier things might have been if the Salem Witch mob had access to social media. That is the road that this movie goes down.
High school senior Lily and her group of friends live in a haze of texts, posts, selfies and chats just like the rest of the world. So, when an anonymous hacker starts posting details from the private lives of everyone in their small town, the result is absolute madness leaving Lily and her friends questioning whether they’ll live through the night.
Assassination Nation stars Odessa Young (The Daughter), Suki Waterhouse (Revenge), Hari Nef (Transparent), Abra, Anika Noni Rose (Everything, Everything), Colman Domingo (Lincoln), Maude Apatow (This is 40), Bill Skarsgård (It), Joel McHale (Community) and Bella Thorne (Blended).
