The Trailer is Here For HBO's Docu-Series Based on Podcast SERIAL's Adnan Syed

It’s pretty exciting for us podcast listeners that all these podcasts are getting made into series. Bravo did a great job with its take on Dirty John, and Amazon saw great success with its adaptation of the series Prime. Our next famed podcast to get the series treatment is arguably one of the most listened to and debated podcasts ever. Serial is the story of Adnan Syed, a high school student in Maryland whose ex-girlfriend, Hae Min Lee, went missing and was subsequently found murdered on February 9, 1999. The podcast covers what happened the day she went missing and in the days after, up to finding her body in a wooded park.

The podcast had many twists and turns in hearing all the different testimonies that overlapped and differed from one another. Adnan Syed has been in prison since February 2000, when he was found guilty in the murder of Hae Min Lee. But his guilt has been debated by family and friends, then by the whole world in the famed podcast, as so many details in the case seemed to be overlooked by lawyers and those close to the case.

HBO’s The Case Against Adnan Syed is said to have new evidence to bring to light, and should be extremely interesting for those of us invested in this 20 year long case. Watch the trailer below and let us know; will you be watching The Case Against Adnan Syed on HBO on March 10?

Adnan Syed, subject of the first season of the global hit podcast, "Serial", continues his story in this HBO Documentary this Spring. Directed by Academy Award nominee Amy Berg, The Case Against Adnan Syed will explore the 1999 disappearance and murder of 18-year-old Baltimore County high school student Hae Min Lee, and the subsequent conviction of her ex-boyfriend, Adnan Syed, a case brought to global attention by the hugely popular Serial podcast.
