THE TRANSPORTER REFUELED Puts the Pedal to the Metal in New Trailer

Former Game of Thrones star Ed Skrein has taken on the mantle of the Transporter in the new movie The Transporter Refueled, and now there's a new trailer that showcases his ass-kicking skills. This movie comes from Luc Besson and the people at EuropaCorp who are responsible for the Taken franchise, and director Camille Delamarre who was responsible for Paul Walker's District B13 remake Brick Mansions. It looks like there's some decent action on display here, but the best thing I can say about it is that it doesn't look like an Olivier Megaton film — meaning that at least you can actually understand what the hell is going on in the action sequences (or at least the way they cut them in this trailer).

And it also looks like there are some references to Jason Statham's first two movies, with an ax and a jet-ski making appearances late in this trailer (both of those items featured into memorable set pieces earlier in the franchise), and that ludicrous moment of the car opening up the fire hydrants, which seems like a reference to the more insane elements of Transporter 2 (especially this one).

The Transporter Refueled arrives in theaters on September 4th.
