The Upcoming CLOVERFIELD Sequel Might Be Called CLOVERFIELD STATION
Paramount Pictures recently launched a viral promotion for their upcoming sequel to Cloverfield, which you can check out here. The movie was previously known as God Particle, but now, a rumor has surfaced on Reddit that says the new title of the film is called Cloverfield Station. The Redditor made the discovery when they noticed an FX lighting artist named Rui (Ray) Xu on Linkedin who had listed Cloverfield Station among his credits.
As you might imagine, since this discovery we've learned that there is a Facebook account and Instagram account that include that title, as well as domain names for CloverfieldStation.com and CloverfieldStationmovie.com. None of this has officially been announced, but it's looking like this is going to be the title of the movie. In case you don't remember what the movie will be about, here's a previously released synopsis:
After a physics experiment with a large hadron accelerator causes the Earth to seemingly vanish completely, the terrified crew of an orbiting American space station is left floating in the middle of now-even-more-empty space. When a European spacecraft appears on their radar, the Americans must determine whether it’s their salvation, or a harbinger of doom.
The space station is obviously going to be called "Cloverfield Station". The movie is being directed by Julis Onah (The Girl Is In Trouble), produced by J.J. Abrams, and it stars Mbatha-Raw, David Oyelewo, John Krasinski, Chris O'Dowd, Daniel Bruhl, Ziyi Zhang, and Elizabeth Debicki.
The movie will hit theaters on April 20th, 2018, so we should get a first trailer sometime in the near future. Are you excited!?
